Jimmy NaNa is a solo artist, guitarist for VELOSITOR (featuring Sean Z of Sinseanum & Daath on vocals) and the sole member of CROSSRIP. He has been writing, recording and performing original music for over a decade. His body of work is as eclectic as his listening habits. From acoustic pop ditties to drop A metal riffs, there is no genre he shies away from. While the genres may shift and cross, catchy songs with honest lyrics are the consistent elements at play in every Jimmy NaNa composition.
Jimmy NaNa was featured in the Artist Spotlight segment on New York based FM station 100.7 WHUD, where they aired an interview and his song “I Hope I Never (Ethereal Remix).” Listen to the rebroadcast here: WHUD.com
Real talk: My preferred medium of expression has always been music and lyrics. The time it takes from inception to fruition allows me to fully process how I feel, and if necessary, move towards closure. My music is many things. It’s my anger, my happiness, my confusion, my excitement, my fears, my hopes, my impatience, my anxiety, my strength and my powerlessness. My goal in creating has always been to share life’s experiences with others. It’s the same reason I perform live, listen to music, go to concerts, watch movies, play video games and visit people. If my songs and lyrics help anyone else cope with their current predicament, feel a little less alone, nod their head, dance, sing or laugh, then mission accomplished. Thank you for listening. It truly means a lot that someone took the time to hear what I have to say.
